Education & Support

At DePaul School we work with each child who is deaf or hard of hearing to develop his or her Listening and Spoken Language skills. This involves our team of teachers, therapists, audiologists and parents! Since parent involvement is essential to our students’ success we provide a range of programs to educate and support parents, grandparents and caregivers.

Workshops

DePaul provides educational workshops for parents throughout the year that address topics related to the education and care of children with hearing loss. Our presenters include DePaul’s highly trained professionals: Teachers of the Deaf, Audiologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Listening and Spoken Language Experts, Administrators and our School Psychologist.

Support Group

The parent support group offers DePaul parents and other family members the opportunity talk about the unique challenges and concerns of raising a child who is deaf or hard of hearing. Often times, just knowing that other parents face similar situations, hopes and fears can bring comfort and support.
