Tip #2: Read to your child every day. Each time you read to your child, you are helping his/her brain to develop language fluency.

Parent Education

DePaul School WorkshopAt DePaul School, we believe that a parent is a child’s first and most important teacher. Raising a child who is deaf or hard of hearing has unique challenges and rewards and our staff is committed to arming parents with the necessary tools and information to achieve a successful Listening and Spoken Language outcome for their child.

DePaul School staff offers both a fall and spring workshop during the school year for parents and caregivers of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. The workshops are open to all parents, grandparent and caregivers of children with hearing loss. Workshops take place at the school’s Shadyside campus and childcare is available.

The Fall Workshop to be held on Saturday, November 8 has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience.
