Tip #1: Singing provides a good sense of rhythm, and the tone helps children with hearing loss recognize the melody in speech.

DePaul School for Hearing and Speech provides paramount pediatric audiological services through its interdisciplinary clinic. The audiology suite offers a full range of equipment to evaluate hearing, program/ troubleshoot/repair hearing aids and cochlear implants, and program/repair personal and soundfield (classroom) Frequency Modulated (FM) systems.

Our audiologists offer a hybrid approach of service by being certified and dual-trained as clinical audiologists/educational audiologists. Dr. Deborah Johnston and Dr. Kristen Perrin are licensed through the state of Pennsylvania and have a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) nationally.

Tip #2: Read to your child every day. Each time you read to your child, you are helping his/her brain to develop language fluency.
