Auditory-Verbal Therapy

Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapists (LSLSTM, Cert.AVT) and Certified Auditory-Verbal Educators (LSLSTM, Cert. AVEd) are both considered Listening and Spoken Language Specialists (LSLSTM). In Auditory-Verbal therapy, parents and caregivers actively participate in individual therapy sessions while working with a Certified LSLSTM therapist. Through guidance, coaching, and demonstration of listening and spoken language therapy techniques, parents become the primary facilitators of their child’s spoken language development.

Enrollment in DePaul School is not required for Auditory-Verbal therapy eligibility. For additional information contact Michelle Parfitt, Speech and Auditory-Verbal Therapy Coordinator at depaulschool@depaulhearingandspeech.org
